MC BURNEY ET POSTAL

Exhibition

Mai-Juin © Le Coin d'Art

Présentation

Jay McBurney is a Canadian artist who moved to France with her husband in 2019. After a successful corporate career, Jay is now retired and finds fulfillment in creating art. Working in both acrylics and oils, Jay explores the joy to be found in the beauty of simple everyday objects, often overlooked or taken for granted.
Reflecting on the way we perceive things, she is also interested in the act of looking, and many of her works focus on the gaze, with the effect of returning to the beholder.

Lionel Postal, originally from Champagne, has lived and worked in the Minervois since 1978. He
has been practicing ceramics professionally since 1982 in his pottery workshop in Caunes.
He began by producing utilitarian earthenware, before moving on to more decorative stoneware
stoneware ceramics. All his creations are made in stoneware or a mixture of stoneware from
Puisaye stoneware. Her glazes are of her own composition, and are made from minerals
wood ash and oxides for coloring. He has taken part in numerous shows in Paris and the
(Nîmes, Toulouse, Grenoble, Villeurbanne?), as well as abroad (Netherlands,
Germany, Italy, Switzerland, Austria...).
