The nature escape without a car in 3 Great Sites between Aude and Hérault, a project of the Network of Great Sites of France, supported by the government and the Bank of Territories, led by the Great Sites of France in the project City of Minerve, gorges of the Cesse and Brian, Canal du Midi-Béziers and City of Carcassonne, in partnership with Hérault Tourism, Aude Tourism and the support of the Tourist Offices of these territories.
The Canal du Midi - Béziers, the City of Minerve, gorges of the Cesse and Brian and the City of Carcassonne are exceptional, fragile and protected landscapes. They all have in common to be in a project for obtaining the Grand Site de France label awarded by the State.
The Grand Site de France label: unique landscapes protected and managed
The Canal du Midi - Béziers, the City of Minerve, gorges of the Cesse and Brian and the City of Carcassonne are exceptional, fragile and protected landscapes. They all have in common to be in a project for obtaining the label Grand Site de France. The latter is awarded by the minister in charge of the Environment for a duration of 6 years, renewable. It distinguishes a territory management carried out by local authorities and residents and compliant with the principles of sustainable development.
