The Caroux-Espinouse massif, in the south of the Central Massif, is a protected and wild natural site, rich in geological and wildlife diversity, notably with mouflons.
Rising to about 1000 m, it dominates the valleys of the Jaur and the Orb, with imposing needles and a rugged relief, offering gorges and torrents. It is an adventure terrain favored by trail runners throughout the year.
ℹ️Following the storms of February 2026, the TRAIL 2 route Notre Dame de Trèdos (Riols) is currently closed. The prefectural decree is still in effect to ensure visitor safety. Please respect the indicated closures.
